Marcia Rafelman has her BA from York University in Dance and Art History and began an art consulting business in 1980. As well Rafelman became a partner in the Helander Gallery in Palm Beach, FL and NYC.
In 1984, Marcia Rafelman Fine Arts (MRFA) was established. As a private dealer. she showcased Canadian & international artists in all media with a strong emphasis on Canadian photographers. Rafelman was accepted as a member of the Private Art Dealers Association of America (PADA), and is now a member of the Art Dealers Association of Canada (ADAC).
For over twenty-three years the gallery has been presented in media such as the Globe & Mail, Canadian Architect, City & Country Home, Fashion Television, Life Network's Homes by Design and Design for Living.
Rafelman has sat on the board of the Koffler Gallery, The National Ballet School of Canada, and is now President of the Mendelson Family Foundation. Rafelman is also a Chair of the Art Committee at Baycrest Centre.
